Avocado Dreaming

Let's talk about the humble avo, scratch that... Let's EAT all the avocados.

A couple of weeks back I featured a cutie patootie avocado rose on my Instagram story and yall got asking questions, I posted another avo snap on my feed and again... questions.
Firstly thanks, you made me feel fancy AF but also you forced me to show you a few of the avocado tricks that I didn't realise were that cool.

At first, I was planning on just linking everyone to an avocado tutorial on Pinterest because I am deathly lazy when I want to be but it soon became apparent that there were more braggy photos and less easy to follow videos, so I made my own. You are so very welcome but I apologise in advance for my hands- I don't think I will be hired as a hand model any time soon haha

Video at the end but...

How to:

Love Rosie (Sorry I just love that movie)

- Cut the avo in half and peel the skin off carefully to keep the flesh intact.
This works best on a semi-firm avocado.
- Slice into short but thin slices (1-2mm thick) and keep the original avo shape intact while doing so (super important it doesn't come apart).
- Fan the slices tightly into a straightish line then start moving them into a tight spiral to create the rose shape.
- To transfer the rose to your plate or in a prime possy on your toast then slide a wide knife under that bad boy and you're good to transfer.
I usually serve this with salt, pepper and a splash of balsamic dressing on toast.

The fanboy

- Cut the avo in half and peel the skin off carefully to keep the flesh intact.
This works best on a semi-firm avocado.
- Slice into long, thin slices (2-3mm thick) and keep the original avo shape intact while doing so you really only need a quarter avo for this so feel free to just do half of your half if you need.
- Carefully fan out the slices, I do this but sitting them slightly on the side and gently pushing them down to separate them but have a play.
- Transfer the fan to your toast/salad or whatever with a wide-bladed knife.
Try serving this baby laced with bacon layers... drool.

Curls for the girls

- Cut the avo in half and peel the skin off carefully to keep the flesh intact.
This works best on a semi-firm avocado.
- Slice into long, thin slices (1-2mm thick).
you really only need a quarter avo for this so feel free to just do half of your half if you need.
- Carefully take each slice and loop them into curls.
- These are easy to transfer to your plate.
These can either be a garnish or the main event of your dish, I added cherry tomato slivers and chilli flakes.

Anger Management

This is simple...
- Smash the avo on toast
- Try to show you're not a total animal and rake a pattern with your fork over the final result
Highly recommend sprinkling taco seasoning over this bish... Game changer.

Since my instructions probably suck... here's my vid.

I hope you enjoy prettier Breakfasts and whatnot x
